Basketball roundups: Lindbergh boys and girls fall to Kennedy

Girls

Kennedy 58, Lindbergh 47

Lindbergh trailed by just three points at the half, but gave up a big third quarter to Kennedy and lost 58-47 Wednesday night.

Senior Jardan Halingstad led Lindbergh (3-4 overall, 2-2 Seamount) with a season-high 25 points on 10 for 19 shooting. Halingstad is averaging 10.3 points per game this season.

Marcissa McMillan tied a season-low with 12 points, but she collected 20 rebounds, five blocks and two steals. McMillan is averaging 19.6 points, 18.3 rebounds and 5.3 blocks per game this season.

Kennedy (7-0, 4-0) outscored the Eagles 19-11 in the third quarter. The 11-point win was just the second time this season an opponent has been within 12 points for the undefeated Lancers.

Boys

Kennedy 68, Lindbergh 59

Even with another big night from Dallas Searles, Lindbergh still came up short, 70-59 to Kennedy Wednesday night.

Searles led all scorers with 23 points for the Eagles (1-6, 1-3). The junior guard has scored 51 points in his past two games and is averaging 16.5 points per game for the season.

Demarr Ferguson scored 10 for the Eagles.
