WAYNE L. GRIFFIN

Wayne L. Griffin was the youngest son of Leonard and Lucille Griffin. He was born 24 Nov 1954 in Torrance, CA. Wayne graduated from North High School also in Torrance. He moved to Renton many years ago and liked it so much it became home.

He was a firearms enthusiast since he was a kid and his dad gave him a .22 rifle. His recent favorite shootin’ iron was his Glock. He enjoyed watching all sporting events, especially the Mariners. Wayne was a self-taught fine leather craftsman. He designed and created beautiful bridles, saddles, holsters and anything leather. Wayne was an avid history buff and spent many hours researching our family tree and military engagements. His participation in Civil War re-enactments and the movie “Geronimo the Final Campaign” might have been the catalyst for his interest in American history.

Wayne passed away peacefully 5 June 2019 after his battle with lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom and is survived by his brother George of CA, sister Alice of AZ and many nieces and a nephew.

The family would like to especially thank Pamela Rhodes-Taylor for her tireless help, guidance and kindness through this difficult time.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to a cancer research organization or hospice charitable foundation.

Particulars for the memorial service are yet to be determined.
