Randolph (Randy) Evans born on September 18, 1959 passed away on October 8, 2019 at Swedish Cherry Hill Hospital in Seattle after a long standing battle with heart disease. Randy was a graduate of Issaquah High School, Class of 1978.
Randy is survived by his loving mother, Barbara, son Corey and his 3 grandchildren, Cohen, Lennon, and Sloane, his sister and brother, Julie McCallister and Russell Evans, his father, Claude Evans and his loving devoted dog, Aggie. We wish to thank the dedicated staff at Swedish Hospital for their great care of Randy and allowing Aggie one last goodbye.
Randy spent 4 years in the military after graduation and worked as a lab technician. Shortly after getting out of the military he found out he had cancer and spent many hours with radiation and chemo, which the Dr. said this resulted in him having heart problems. After that he worked at a nursing facility with his corgi, Shortstuff, but grew tired of the traffic, high cost of hiking, fishing and hunting which he loved to do so he moved to Alaska. After a couple of years he settled in Palmer, Alaska and spent lots of time doing all of the things he loved. He lived in a trailer in Palmer next door to his friend, Mike.
After having a mild heart attack in Alaska, he chose to come back down here to be near good doctors and help out his mother. He raised chickens, ducks, and geese on her small farm and had many friends who loved his chicken, duck and goose eggs that he sold. He was always willing to share with people his thoughts on government affairs and climate change. Due to fear, he waited too long for his heart surgery and was unable to recover.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct 26 from 1-3 at the Kiwanis Gibson Hall, 105 Newport Way Sw, Issaquah, Wa. Please bring your memories of Randy to share. Pot luck will be served.
