PAULINE RUTH (TAUBMAN) BLUE

Pauline Ruth (Taubman) Blue, a resident of Renton for 55 years, passed away April 4, 2019 at the age of 83.

She was born October 11, 1935 to Priscilla and Archie Taubman in Faribault, Minnesota and was raised in Sacramento, CA. with her older brother, Richard. After graduating high school, she attended Multnoma Bible College in Portland and married Thomas Blue in 1959, who was hired by the Renton School District as one of the district’s school psychologists.

After the birth of her three children, she continued her education at Western University in Bellingham to receive her Master’s degree in education and taught in local elementary schools. After her teaching career, Boeing hired her to help and advise other employees through the Special Services division in Renton and held classes for advising and transitioning retirees. After her own retirement, she became an avid gardener and loved to travel and shop for antiques.

She was a member of the Highlands Community Church in Renton since 1964 where she volunteered and taught Sunday School for children ages 4-7.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Taubman of Melbourne, Fla., her three children, Kathleen Zyskowski, Kristen Blue and Thomas Blue, her seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

A short Memorial Service will be held June 21, from 2 PM-4PM at the Highlands Community Church.
