Michael Byron Dooley

Michael was born July 8, 1940 in Seattle and died December 18, 2009 at Valley Medical Center in Renton. He lived in the Briarwood community east of Renton for the past 38 years. Michael is survived by Linda his wife of 39 years; six children Jonathan Dooley, Lara Chung, Chad Dooley, Deanna Stanley, Jessica Philipp, and Jasmine Dooley; four grandchildren Victoria, Dylan, Kirsten and Luke; and a brother Keith Dooley.Mike graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and worked various jobs before joining the Army. He then worked on Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific before returning to Seattle and becoming a computer technician with IBM until he retired in 1996. Mike received the gift of a liver transplant in June 2001 and enjoyed 8 ½ extra years. After also surviving bypass surgery and a valve replacement a sudden unknown infection claimed his life.A memorial service was held December 21 and an inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in the spring.
