Marcia C. Van Ness

Marcia Charlotte Van Ness, born August 14, 1922 in Pittsburg, PA. Passed away at age 87 on February 20, 2010 in Bellevue, WA. Marcia was christened at St. Peters church in Pittsburg, PA. On August 20, 1922. She moved to California in the early 1940’s. Worked for U.S. Flair during World War II. Marcia moved to Lancaster, CA in 1956 and later met Gary L. Van Ness and were later married on June 12, 1965. Marcia worked for the school district in Lancaster as the registrar of adult education, and later with the Red Cross setting up blood banks. Marcia and Gary moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1986 until the present time (Renton). Marcia enjoyed sewing, knitting, doing crafts, spending time with her family and being an excellent homemaker. In addition too her husband Gary Van Ness of 44 plus years she is survived by her sons Kevin J. Talbot his wife Bonnie B. Hilory and her son Ian Hilory of Issaquah. Sean C. Van Ness his wife Gayle Van Ness of Kent and their children Jordan Van Ness (Seattle) and Lindsay Van Ness (Kent). A celebration of life is set for 2 p.m. Saturday March 13th at St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church 4400 130th Place SE, Bellevue, WA. 98006.
