KEVIN MICHAEL KATZER

Kevin passed away at home on June 30th, 2019. Kevin was 57 years young. He was born on November 22nd, 1961 to Alfred and Flora Katzer and graduated from Lindbergh High School in 1980.

Kevin was a man who lived his own journey loud and proud. He was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed Louis L’Amour and Tom Clancy books and wouldn’t miss the daily newspaper. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and walking his dogs Nike and Bear along the Cedar River trail.

In his younger years, Kevin volunteered as a firefighter for King County. He enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, and snow skiing. For many years Kevin along with his mother Flora, was an active member in the Renton Eagles Auxiliary. He looked forward to volunteering at the Renton Old Timer’s Picnic every summer.

Kevin was a carpenter by trade and had just recently retired. He was in the process of building his dream home in Brewster, WA where he would enjoy his retirement hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors with his golden retriever Bear.

Kevin is survived by his four siblings Rick (Teri), Craig (Donna), Sue, and Nancy. Also, nephew CJ and nieces Jennifer, Shannen, Jaime, Kelli, Lauren, Melissa, Janelle, Reese and Aspen. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Flora Katzer.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Flintoft’s Funeral Home, 540 E Sunset Way, Issaquah. It will be followed by a gathering of friends and family at 580 E Sunset Way, Issaquah.
