John O’Brien

John Joseph O’Brien was born on September 16, 1926 in Republic, WA to Dean and Ruby O’Brien and died January 6, 2013 at Regency Care Center, Renton, WA. He served in the United States Navy, during WWII, from 1944 – 1946. Married Isabel Denton, in Okanogan WA, June 26, 1947. Began working for The Boeing Company in 1958, retiring in 1989. After retiring, John spent 17 additional years working at Renton Western Wear, a job he truly loved. John is survived by his spouse Isabel; sons, Ken, John, and Sid all of the Renton area; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and John and Isabel’s only daughter Joni. John was a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He attended New Life Church at Renton for 54 years, where he spent many of those years as a front door greeter. He will be greatly missed by all those who know and love him.Visitation at Greenwood Memorial Park Renton,WA, Friday, January 11th, noon to 7 pm. Service to be held at New Life Church at Renton, Saturday, January 12 at 11:30am.
