JAMES “JIM” M. ELIASON

November 24, 1951 ~ August 3, 2017

James “Jim” M. Eliason, 65, passed away August 3, 2017, surrounded by his family. Jim was born November 24, 1951, to James and Shirley Eliason in Valley City, ND. In 1962 the family moved from Spokane to Renton and in 1970 Jim graduated from Renton High School. He married Donna Fahncke on January 31, 1971. Jim worked as a Systems Engineer for Northrop Grumman, formerly TRW, for 33 years.

As a leading brother for the church in Salt Lake City, he shepherded many. Saved at a young age he dedicated his life to serving the Lord and following His leading. Words that have been used to describe him are steadfast, faithful, a pattern, puny, and many more. He was known for his sense of humor, dry wit, and an innate ability to make a song out of everything.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna; children: Stephane, Michele (Steven), and James Michael (Krysten); sister, Jeanette Zimmerman; grandchildren: Isabella, Zechariah, and Zedrik; and his faithful companion, Clancey the dog.

Preceded in death by his father, James C.; mother, Shirley; sister, Sheila; and grandparents.

A viewing was at Leavitt’s Mortuary in Ogden, Utah. A graveside service was at Mt. Olivet in Renton, WA. A Memorial Service, through the church in Salt Lake City, will be held on August 20 at the Ogden Eccles Center. In lieu of flowers, Jim requests that donations be made to Living Stream Ministry/Lords Move to Europe (Lordsmove.org), or to a scholarship fund for his grandchildren, at America First Credit Union (americafirst.com, account number 9096405, James Eliason, memorial; or visit any branch.)
