DOROTHY MARIE PUTNEY

Dorothy Marie Putney, age 93, died peacefully in her sleep on January 8, 2017 in Renton, Washington.

Dorothy, the second oldest of eight children, was born on April 27, 1923, in Glendive, Montana to the late John and Rose Loeken. Dorothy married Lauritz Ericksen in 1942 and they lived in Montana,Washington and Oregon finally settling in San Bruno,California where they lived for 27 years.

Dorothy worked as a waitress in a fine dining establishment and excelled as a homemaker skilled in dressmaking,knitting and crocheting. In 1978 a move was once again made to Montana to help look after Dorothy’s mother. In 1980 Dorothy was widowed and she moved to Seattle, Washington to work in Boeing’s accounting department.

She met and married Paul Putney and she enjoyed a long life full of varied interests. Travel, Alaskan fishing trips, golfing and even owing an interest in a race horse kept Dorothy very busy.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons Forrest Ericksen and Dane Ericksen and her stepsons Greg Putney and David Putney. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
