BARBARA LOU BIGLEY

Barbara Bigley died peacefully August 9, 2009 in her Patriot’s Landing apartment, DuPont, WA. She was born Barbara Lou Platte, in Burlington, IA in 1924.She is survived by her three children, Susan Wright (John), Joe (Sally), Richard (Sabra); her four grandchildren, Brian Wright (Rachel), Kristen Hacker (Gene), Bendigo and Galen; her two great-grandchildren, Aspen and Kyla Hacker; and her two cats, Herbert and Maggie.Barbara was a long time resident of Bellevue and Fairwood WA, where she made many good friends. In prior years, she was an active volunteer with Overlake Service League and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Renton. She had been a member of Fairwood Golf & Country Club and an avid golfer and bridge player.She will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery, alongside her husband of 64 years, Ben, who retired from Boeing after 35 years.Memorial service will be held at Patriot’s Landing, 1600 Mar-shall Circle, DuPont, WA, on Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 pm.
