Pepper spray kidnapping
Renton police were dispatched after receiving a report in the 200 block of Rainier Avenue North on Oct. 3 at around 9 p.m. The victim reported to police that an acquaintance pepper sprayed her after she refused his physical advances and attempted to force her from her vehicle into his, according to the department. Officers developed probable cause for assault and kidnapping charges. Investigation into the incident continues, according to the department.
Sexual assault
Renton police received report of a sexual assault in the 400 block of S. 2nd Street. The incident occurred on Oct. 2 at approximately 11 a.m., according to the department. The victim states the suspect assaulted her when she met him. Investigation into the incident continues, according to the department.
Assault and threat
Renton police were dispatched after receiving a report in the 200 block of Burnett Avenue South at approximately 12 a.m. of an assault involving a firearm. The victim, a 58-year-old man, reported to police that three men approached him and assaulted him without provocation, with one of the suspects pulling out a gun and threatening the victim.
According to the department, when officers arrived, they located the victim on the ground and a BB gun Glock-style handgun in the area that the victim identified as the weapon used to threaten him. Officers have probable cause to arrest all three suspects, according to the department. Investigation into the incident continues.
Strong-arm robbery
Renton police were dispatched after receiving a report in the 12200 block of Southeast Petrovitsky Road on Oct. 3 at 3:47 p.m. of a strong-arm robbery. The victim, a 17-year-old girl, reported that a man approached her and asked to use her cell phone. She said no to his request, and he stole the cell phone and pushed her to the ground, according to the department. The suspect fled the scene with a second man and was unable to be located, according to the department. Investigation into the incident continues.
Another robbery
Renton police were dispatched after receiving a report in the 300 block of Rainier Avenue South on Oct. 8 at approximately 2:43 p.m. of a strong-arm robbery. The victim identified the suspect and said he stole money and her cell phone and assaulted a second woman, according to the department. Officers located the 26-year-old suspect, arrested him without incident, and booked him into jail.
