Multicultural Show at Renton High School: For two days, enjoy many different performances from different cultures at Renton High School on South 2nd Street. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtimes, which are 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5 at the door and online at rentonschools.us/locations/ripac/multicultural-show-saturday. Friday, Feb. 17

The Snow Ball: A Winter Family Dance at Renton Community Center: From 6- 8 p.m., families are invited to come dance the night away! Registration is required with a fee of $15 for Renton residents and a fee of $18 for non-Renton residents. Register today at rentonwa.gov/register with code #14189. Along with great music, the Snow Ball will have keepsakes, refreshments and a photo booth.

Saturday, Feb. 18

Black History Month: Unity & Perseverance at The Hyatt Regency Southport: Located in The Towers #2 of the Hyatt Regency Southport from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., this open forum will hold a discussion centered around Black culture and community.

Melanin Magic Disco at The Hyatt Regency Southport: A celebration of Black History Month and activists and leaders within the Black community, General admission to this disco event is $50, which includes two drink tickets, light appetizers and portrait photography. VIP admission is $100 and includes a private photoshoot, a bottle of champagne and acknowledgment during the program. VIP is limited to 12. The disco goes from 8 p.m. to midnight and tickets are available at eventbrite.com/e/melanin-magic-disco-tickets-509695672477.

Succulent Dish Garden Workshop at Urban Sprouts: Don’t miss this educational and plant-astic event at 5:30 p.m. as part of Urban Sprouts’ spring classes. Music Sings, Music Dances! at IKEA Performing Arts Center: From 2-4 p.m., the Renton City Concert Band will perform their spring concert. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and 50+ seniors.
