WEEKEND WEATHER: Showers with a chance of thuderstorms

It looks like the clouds that moved in toward the end of the week plan on sticking around through the weekend as a new frontal system moves through the region.

It looks like the clouds that moved in toward the end of the week plan on sticking around through the weekend as a new frontal system moves through the region.

According to the National Weather Service, today, Saturday, should bring those showers, with the possibility of thunderstorms after noon.

Temperatures should reach about 55 with south southwest winds of 9 to 15 mph and an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Rain continues Saturday night with lows in the mid-40s.

And unfortunately, Sunday doesn’t look much better.

Expect rain in the morning changing to showers throughout the afternoon with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

The chance of showers drops to 40 percent Sunday night, with temps near 41.

Cloudy skies and high near 56 are predicted for Monday.
