The Board of Commissioners of King County Water District No. 90 (KCWD90) has announced that Darcey Peterson will be the new general manager of the District effective Octo. 1.
KCWD90 is located on the Northeast side of Renton and out into the unincorporated area of King County. Peterson will be replacing Tom Hoffman, who is retiring after having served as the District’s Manager since 2000.
Peterson has been the Finance Manager at the District since 2001. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Western Washington University. Last year, Peterson achieved her Water Distribution Manager III (WDM III) rating after passing the Washington Department of Health test.
Since 2000, KCWD90 has nearly doubled in the number of accounts (currently at 7,600, includes residences, schools and a few businesses). Peterson said she has benefitted from Hoffman’s leadership and guidance during this time. Peterson and Hoffman worked together diligently to accommodate this growth and modernize the District.
The District has also hired Anne Paige as the new finance manager in September. Paige has a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington State University. She was previously employed by the Tahoma School District.
