Santa is calling all elves.
The Forgotten Children’s Fund, which provides gifts for families in temporary crisis, is wrapping gifts Dec. 2-22, and it needs volunteers to help.
“We have hundreds of families experiencing life threatening illnesses and impending homelessness in this area,” said Patricia Davis, who screens requests.
The families are selected based on their need and the likelihood of getting helped by other charitable organizations.
The Washington fund has existed since 1976.
The Kaye-Smith building at 501 7th St., Renton is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. They need volunteers to both wrap gifts and deliver them.
