Sustainable Renton is hosting a brainstorming meeting this weekend to plan for an urban farm to benefit the city.

The meeting is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., this Sunday, June 24 at 970 Harrington Avenue Northeast in Renton.

Organizers hope to answer the questions, what would an urban community farm look like, how would it positively affect the local food system and what would it take?

Sustainable Renton has invited community experts and potential stakeholders to the meeting.

The group is also asking farmers, master gardeners, farmers market coordinators, food bank coordinators, beekeepers, educators, restaurant owners, regional community farms, volunteers and others interested in the project to join them.
