Two shot near Renton KFC

One has non-life threatening injuries, the other is in critical but stable condition

An shooting Wednesday night, in the parking lot of the Rainier Avenue Kentucky Fried Chicken, left two shot. All those involved are believed to be identified by police, and the motive of the shooting is unknown.

Renton Police Department released a press release Thursday detailing their description of the events as follows:

At around 10:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a shooting event, where the caller reported a man approached her boyfriend and put a fun to his head, telling her not to move, and then several shots were fired.

When police arrived they discovered a Kent man with a gunshot wound to the hand, he was taken to Harborview Medical Center for the non-life threatening injury. A short time later police say an off-duty officer saw a car driving at a high speed in Kent with bullet holes, and notified on duty police. The two occupants were detained by police without incident.

Around that time another man was brought to Harborview for a gunshot wound to the torso, who police believe was also involved in the same shooting. The 21 year old is in stable but critical condition.
