Two injured in crash on southbound I-405 Wednesday night

Two drivers were injured Wednesday night in a collision on southbound Interstate 405 just south of the Sunset Boulevard (SR 900) overpass, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both drivers, a 28-year-old SeaTac woman and a 32-year-old Centralia man, were taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. when a 2012 Scion driven by the SeaTac woman struck a 2012 Honda Civic driven by the Centralia man, according to the state patrol. The Scion left the roadway, struck a barrier and came to rest back on the freeway, according to the patrol.

The cause is under investigation, but the patrol indicated that drugs or alcohol were involved.
