With candidate filing just weeks away, King County Elections is hosting two free two-hour workshops to discuss information related to filing for office in King County.
The workshops, held at the election office’s Renton headquarters, are:
• Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.-noon.
• Tuesday, May 12, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
No reservations are needed and members of the public, candidates, campaign managers, treasurers and staff are invited to attend the King County Election 2009 Candidate Workshop.
King County Elections is at 919 SW Grady Way.
Elections staff and representatives from the Public Disclosure Commission will cover the following topics: filing for office in King County, voters’ pamphlet information, voter lists and data management, campaign sign regulations, and basic public disclosure requirements.
To appear on the fall ballot, all candidates must file a declaration of candidacy online, in person or by mail no later than Friday, June 5.
