Two arrested for suspected involvment in deadly Renton shooting

One of the suspects was arrested by the Nevada State Patrol after a brief vehicular pursuit.

Two suspects believed to have been involved in a deadly shooting in Renton have been apprehended.

Just before 2 am on July 9, Renton Police responded to multiple calls reporting a shooting on the 200 Block of Williams Avenue in Renton. They found a 34-year-old Tacoma man who was unconscious with a gunshot wound.

Despite receiving trauma care, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

After investigation efforts related to the shooting, Kendale S. Jimerson was arrested by the Nevada State Patrol following a brief vehicle pursuit and Devaughn C. Dorsey was arrested last week by a specialized unit with the Renton Police Department.

Renton Police say both suspects are currently in custody and will be charged with murder in the second degree.

The loss of a beloved friend and/or family member is never easy, but it is especially distressing to lose someone to such a senseless act of violence. We hope the arrest of those who perpetrated horrific crime provides some semblance of comfort for those who knew and loved the victim.
