As done for a number of years, residents at The Lakeshore retirement community and family and friends have donated money to  King County Fire District 20.

Firefighters and medics gathered with residents and staff Jan. 10 to mark nine years of successful fundraising and giving back to Fire Station 20.  Executive Director Cheryl St. Louis presented a check for almost $4,000 raised by residents, family members, and guests during the community’s monthly fundraising luncheons in 2012.

To date, the community, its residents, their friends and family have donated almost $50,000 to help Fire Station 20 purchase medical supplies and equipment.

“Thank you so much. Fire Station 20 is extremely supportive of the event and honored to be a part of it,” said Fire Chief, David L. Crossen.
