State’s first ‘Kids Ninja Warrior’ event coming to Hazen in April

Featuring an inflatable obstacle with events like “the corkscrew,” “the rope swing,” “big ball alley” and the “cargo net climb,” the course promises to challenge kids in a way no bouncy house ever has.

The first ever Kids Ninja Warrior Challenge in Washington state is coming to Hazen High School in Renton on April 23-24, with proceeds to benefit Birthday Dreams.

Featuring an inflatable obstacle with events like “the corkscrew,” “the rope swing,” “big ball alley” and the “cargo net climb,” the course promises to challenge kids in a way no bouncy house ever has.

The event will be open to all kids age 18 and under, separated into three age groups: 6-7, 8-11 and 12-18. The cost is $30 per participant.

To help the contestants prepare, Sensei Chris from Kids Ninja Warrior will provide several training videos leading up to the event. Each participant will have one hour to practice on the course and complete two timed trials. The top 10 percent of qualifiers in each age group will advance to the final rounds.

The practice and qualifying rounds are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 23 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aril 24, with the final round scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 24.

Space is limited and registration is required. For more information or to register, visit     http://birthdaydreams.org/Events/KNW.aspx
