State Patrol looking for victims of shooting Dec. 11 on I-405

The Washington State Patrol is looking for the victim or victims of a shooting Dec. 11 just before 3 a.m. on northbound Interstate 405 south of State Route 167 in the Renton and Kent area.

A trooper observed two vehicles, a blue Dodge Neon and a mid to late 1980s sedan, driving in an aggressive manner on northbound Interstate 405, according to a news release. The driver of the Neon, a 25-year-old Maple Valley man, shot several times at the unidentified sedan.

The trooper became involved in a pursuit with the Neon and observed the driver throw the gun out the window. The gun was recovered by troopers. The trooper continued to pursue the Neon but the driver eventually lost control on a side street in Kent and fled on foot.

An attempt to locate him with a track dog was unsuccessful. Detectives located the man via telephone and he turned himself in on Thursday (Dec. 16). He was booked into King County Jail.

Anyone with information about the victim or victims in the mid to late 1980s sedan are encouraged to contact Detective Stacey Moate at 425- 401-7746.
