About 50 vendors are expected to pack the Renton Piazza downtown’s annual Spring Festival April 17.

In addition to the festival, the Downtown Renton Committee is hosting a poker run, which will give out about $1,000 in prizes.

It’s family friendly, and you don’t need to know poker to participate, said organizer Rod Stewart.

Families collect cards from some of the 36 participating downtown businesses, and the top playing 30 hands win a prize.

Both the events start at noon. The poker event ends at 4 p.m. and vendors shut down around 5 p.m.

Alongside arts and crafts booths, guests can expect to find children’s books, pet items, flowers and gardening tools.

One vendor is creating mother’s day baskets and another promises free massages.

Non-profits also signed up for booths.
