SIFF-Renton Monday: Freedom in South Korea; yo ho, a pirate’s life for me

The Seattle International Film Festival is showing two films Monday, the fourth day of its run in Renton, one produced in South Korea and the other in Germany.

All showings are at the IKEA Performing Arts Center at Renton High School, 400 S. Second St.

“Dance Town” is about a North Korean woman forced to flee to South Korea who must come to terms with freedom. It shows at 6 p.m.

“12 Places without a Head” is a German film about two pirate folk heroes who plunder the Baltic Sea. It shows at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for the films are available online or at the IPAC box office before each showing.
