It’s the return of the Return to Renton Car Show, bringing classic cars, delicious food vendors, great live music and a genuine brightness to downtown Renton.

The car show ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 9 with trophies presented after 3 p.m. There were 30 categories, with “Best of Show” going to Dev Pontious of Lake Forest Park and his 1939 Chevrolet Opera Coupe.

Since its formation in 1991, Return to Renton has been a major annual event in the area, which was postponed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m happy to see so many people out after COVID and so many families and children, it brings so much excitement,” said Larken Buchanan, one of the heads of Return to Renton.
