Renton police are seeking the public’s help in the search for a missing senior who was inadvertently released from a hospital late Nov. 5.
According to the Renton Police Department (RPD), police are actively searching for 77-year-old Cynthia Myers. Around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 4, Myers was last seen leaving Overlake Hospital in an Uber after being inadvertently released from the hospital.
RPD stated that officers confirmed that she was dropped off at approximately 1:57 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 17700 block of NE 78th Place in Redmond, near a hotel. RPD stated that Myers did not check into that hotel.
Myers is known to frequent the Fred Meyer and Starbucks in downtown Renton and may attempt to return to that area by rideshare. RPD stated that it’s also possible that Myers remains in the Redmond area. Redmond Police Department is assisting in the search, and RPD is also asking for the public’s help in locating her.
Myers is described as 5’5”, weighing 116 pounds. Her hair is gray and light brown and her eyes are blue. Her clothes are described as a pink and blue beanie, a light tan long sleeve coat, dark gray sweatpants, black leather boots with fur on top and a burgundy cross-body purse.
RPD stated that if she is seen, people should call 911 and reference case number 25-9581. RPD stated that Myers might have some cognitive issues and has a history of wandering.
