Seattle teen arrested in shooting death of Skyway man Sept. 7

A 16-year-old Seattle girl has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Skyway man early on Sept. 7 at a SeaTac motel, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

A 16-year-old Seattle girl has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Skyway man early on Sept. 7 at a SeaTac motel, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Her name wasn’t released; she was arrested Wednesday in Seattle.

Detectives are also looking for Kavahn Matthews-Smith, 19, in connection with the death of 47-year-old Herman Tucker. Anyone with information about Matthews-Smith should call 911.

Tucker was shot and killed at the Motel 6 in the 20600 block of Military Road South at about 3 a.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses indicated to detectives that they saw Tucker enter a room and then heard an argument and a gunshot, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Tucker stumbled from the room.

At least four people were seen fleeing the room.

More arrests are possible; the investigation is continuing, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
