The Renton Rotary Club is accepting applications for its Community Service Mini-grants through Aug. 28.

The club seeks applications during a specific time each year – June 1 through Aug. 28, according to Brent Beden, co-chairman of the club’s Community Services Committee.

Community service organizations that serve the greater Renton community are eligible, with emphasis on life-improvement issues.

Grants are not given to individuals or for an individual’s educational needs, travel, scholarships, sporting activities, or to international organizations. Preference is given to funding requests for capital needs and start-up costs, over ongoing operating expenses

All applicants must be non-profit organizations with 501(c) (3) status.

Requests received after Aug. 28 will only be considered if funds are available. Requests must be submitted via the U.S. mail. The application form is available at www.rentonrotary.org.
