Two Renton nonprofits are teaming up with two Renton restaurants to raise money for the homeless on Monday.
A percentage of the proceeds raised at Armondo’s from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and at Melrose Grill from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on Monday will go to Way Back Inn and ARISE/HOME.
Armondo’s is at 310 Wells Ave. S. and Melrose Grill is at 819 Houser Way S.
Way Back Inn is a transitional housing program for homeless families with children. The nonprofit operates 10 homes in Renton, Tukwila and Kent. Guests stay for up to 90 days with free rent and utilities. During their stay, families receive help transitioning into long-term housing. For more information, visit www.way-back-inn.org.
ARISE is an emergency men’s shelter designed to help homeless men of South King County move into permanent housing. The shelter operates out of a different Renton church each month. ARISE, which stands for Area of Renton Interfaith Shelter Endeavor, is part of the HOME (Homeless Outreach Mobilization Effort) Corporation.
