Renton will take part in National Day of Prayer on Thursday

The National Day of Prayer has been observed annually since it was established by the United States Congress on April 17, 1952.

There will be a National Day of Prayer event at Liberty Park tomorrow in honor of the 61st annual event.

The National Day of Prayer Event draws together Christians of varied backgrounds to pray for the strengthening of the moral and spiritual fabric of our society.

Prayer will be offered by ministers and members of the Renton community, asking for forgiveness for our wrongs, and for the blessing of God on our government, healthcare, family, churches, businesses, education and media.
