Renton schools open Monday; Kent schools remain closed

Renton schools were returning to normal Monday after last week's snowstorm, followed by the ice storm.

Renton schools reopened Monday morning following last week’s snowstorm and ice storm.

However, the Kent School Disttrict, which services part of the Renton area, remained closed Monday due to power outages at a number of district schools, poor road conditions, downed trees and disrupted supply deliveries.
