The district’s old logo was an open book imprinted with a lamp of learning enclosed in a circle. That logo was in use at least 25 years.

District spokesperson Randy Matheson says this is the first time in recent memory that Renton School District has changed its logo. The change is part of the district’s Web site improvements. The Web sites for the district and each of the district schools will receive improvements including new content, better graphics, more links and menus. These improvements will be unveiled in November.
