Renton School District has moved from a two-hour late start, to closed, for Tuesday, Jan. 14.
The district stated this morning over social media that all schools and the central office are closed due to current road conditions, mostly roads that remain untreated and icy. The district also mentioned that snow and icy temperatures are expected to continue into the evening.
Detectives located the knife used in the incident in a recycling bin while investigating the stabbing.
Suspect was already on electronic home detention for pending firearm-related charges and was ordered not to have contact with the now-deceased victim, a 15-year-old boy.
