In anticipation of inclement weather all Renton School District schools will open 90 minutes late today, (Tuesday, Jan. 17), the district decided Monday.

However, the district urged residents to check its website for any updates Tuesday morning. Also, information about other school districts, including Kent’s which also serves part of Renton, is available online. The Kent School District decided to close school at about 7 a.m. Tuesday after announcing earlier classes would start two hours.

All Renton schools will start 90 minutes late and buses will run on the same schedule as delayed-start Fridays. No AM kindergarten (for information on what programs are cancelled due to the late start, read the emergency bulletin.
