The Renton School District, along with NAC Architecture, is presenting schematic designs for the new middle school at an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Renton Academy, 6928 116th Ave. SE, Newcastle.

The new school, approved by voters in the April 2012 School Construction Bond measure, will be constructed at the current Renton Academy site beginning in 2014.

At Thursday’s open house, the district’s design team will provide plans, including a site plan and floor plans; have a dialogue about the purpose, scope and timeline for the project; and receive community input on this initial phase of the school’s design.
