Renton police seeking SUV in accident June 26

The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a light-colored SUV involved in a collision with a motorcycle on June 26.

The motorcyclist is listed in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center, according to Renton police.

The collision occurred at about 11 p.m. on Talbot Road South at the intersection of South 45th Place in Renton.

The motorcyclist was traveling south on Talbot Road South when the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle, causing the collision, according to Renton police. The 40-year-old motorcyclist braked but was unable to stop.

The SUV failed to stop and fled the scene, turning west on South 45th Place. The SUV should have damage to the right passenger side of the vehicle, according to police.

Other vehicles were seen in the area at the time of the collision but none of these potential witnesses has come forward, according to police.

Either witnesses who saw this collision or anyone who knows a person who has fresh damage to the passenger side of their SUV is asked to call the Renton Police Department at 425-430-7500.
