Renton Police is asking the public’s help to find the suspects involved in a brutal robbery early Friday morning.

The armed robbery occurred just before 1 a.m. Friday morning at a convenience store in the 10500 block of South Carr Road.

A convenience store clerk and an associate were in the front area of the store when three suspects ran into the business, according to police. One suspect brandished a gun, and the robbers ordered both victims to the ground after forcing the clerk to open the cash register.

The contents of the register were taken, along with merchandise from the store, according to police. When the robbers fled on foot, the clerk activated an alarm and officers were dispatched.

Although the suspects pointed a gun at the clerk, shoved him to the ground, and kicked him, neither victim was seriously injured, according to Renton Police Detective Robert Onishi.

The suspects kept their faces covered by masks or bandannas; one had a hooded sweatshirt pulled tight around his head to conceal his face.

Renton Police are urging anyone with information about this violent crime to contact the department at 425-430-7500 and refer to case 12-5092.
