Renton police searching for murder suspect

The man is believed to have slain his girlfriend

Renton police are looking for a man who they claim killed his girlfriend in the early morning hours on Aug. 21, 2021.

Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound in her chest after responding to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 2200 block of Benson Way.

The victim was brought to Valley Medical Center where they died of their wounds.

The suspect has been identified by police as Vaughn Alexander Weems, a 6 ft, Black male weighing an estimated 245 lbs. He has facial hair and a mole above his right eye.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you have any information about his whereabouts call 425-430-7647.
