Renton Police investigate apparent drive-by shooting

The incident left two injured with non-life threatening injuries.

At roughly 9:53 p.m. on Sept. 17, Renton Police began to receive the first of multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting near the 3600 Block of Lake Washington Blvd. NE.

Responding officers found two males, 18 and 16 years of age, in a nearby parking lot who had sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both of the individuals were given care at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. They are reportedly expected to recover.

According to police, the two victims were gathered in a small group in the parking lot when a silver car drove by on Burnett Ave. N. and allegedly fired about five gunshots at them from inside the car.

Police are unaware of the potential motivation of the alleged shooter and have no identifying information on the suspect.
