UPDATE, 8:30 p.m. : Audrey Chesier was located by the Seattle Police Department a short while ago. She had been involved in a one-vehicle collision near 5th and Yesler and was transported to Harborview to be treated for minor injuries. Her family has been advised and they are en route to Harborview
The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Audrey Cheshier, 89, who was last seen in the 1300 block of South Puget Drive (Sunset Ridge Condos) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6.
She suffers from severe strokes and sometimes becomes confused; she does not have a history of failing to return home and may have difficulty communicating, according to the Renton Police Departmlent.
Her car, a blue 2006 Honda Accord with Washington plate AJY6443, is also missing.
Cheshier is described as a white female, 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, with hazel eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a teal-colored coat and black shoes. She has a red nylon purse with her and either a red or leopard patterned cane. She probably has a red or white pullover sweater with her.
She frequents Shari’s Restaurant at 10619 S.E. Carr Road and Tommy’s Café at 74 Rainier Ave. S. in Renton, and other locations between Renton and Southcenter Mall. It is unknown what her destination may have been, but she has lived in the Maple Valley area it is possible that she headed toward Maple Valley.
Due to health issues and her failure to return home, she is considered endangered/missing, according to Renton Police. Anyone who sees Audrey Cheshier or her vehicle is asked to call 911 or contact the Renton Police Department at 425-430-7500 and refer to case number 12-12581.
