The second annual Renton Historical Society Benefit Dinner is Wednesday at the Renton Senior Activity Center.

Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. A silent auction and music by The Tuesdays jazz combo will follow. Tickets are $40 per person. For more information, visit www.rentonhistory.org or call 425-255-2330.

Renton Historical Society, a nonprofit, funds all of the exhibits, programs and education provided by Renton History Museum. The museum’s basic overhead costs are paid for by the City of Renton.

Last year’s benefit brought in just under $5,000 for the museum, says museum director Liz Stewart. She hopes the benefit will raise even more money this year.

“I think everybody who came last year had a great time and learned more about the museum, and I think it will be a great event again,” Stewart said.
