Renton Municipal Arts Commission accepting fire hydrant art designs

If chosen, artists will receive $400 to bring their vision to life on fire hydrant in Renton.

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission is sending out a call to all artists in the Renton community for submissions of fire hydrant art designs.

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission will select their favorite design submission and if chosen, artists will receive $400 to bring their vision to life on a live working fire hydrant in downtown Renton.

Not only will artists have the opportunity to showcase their talents, but they will also be helping to make the city a more vibrant and attractive place to live and work. Their artwork will be on display for all to see.

To submit a proposal, simply send the Renton Municipal Arts Commission a design concept, along with a brief description of the inspiration and vision for the hydrant. Don’t forget to include your name, contact information, and a portfolio of your previous work.

The application can be found here.

“We can’t wait to see what you come up with,” the Renton Municipal Arts Commission said in a statement. “Let’s work together to make Renton a more beautiful place, one hydrant at a time.”
