The Renton Housing Authority and the City of Renton will break ground Monday morning on the new Glennwood Townhomes in the Renton Highlands.

The groundbreaking for the eight townhomes is at 10 a.m. at 1147 Glennwood Ave. N.E..

The project consists of eight new four-bedroom units in the Sunset area. It’s the Renton Housing Authority’s first project to replace housing when the nearby Sunset Terrace is redeveloped.

The townhome project is just part of the larger Sunset Area Community Investment Strategy, which will include a new King County Library System library for the Highlands.
