Renton fire stations collecting food for Salvation Army

Members of the Renton Firefighters Local 864 are collecting non-perishable food items at all their fire stations for the Salvation Army Renton Rotary Food Bank until Dec. 17.

Members of the Renton Firefighters Local 864 are collecting non-perishable food items at all their fire stations for the Salvation Army Renton Rotary Food Bank until Dec. 17.

The fire stations are:

• Fire Station 11: 211 Mill Ave. S.

• Fire Station 12: 1209 Kirkland Ave. N.E.

• Fire Station 13: 18002 108th Ave. S.E.

• Fire Station 14: 1900 Lind Ave. S.W.

• Fire Station 16: 12923 156th Ave. S.E.

• Fire Station 17: 14810 Petrovitsky Road S.E.

This is the 25th year that the firefighters union has been collecting food for the Renton Salvation Army Food Bank.  Last year the union collected 1,000 pounds of food.  That food was delivered to the Renton Salvation Army via the Firefighters Union antique fire engine.
