Renton’s urban forestry efforts earned the city its first Tree City USA award this year. Representatives from the Washington Community Forestry Council will present this award to city officials at Renton’s Arbor Day/Earth Day Celebration on April 25 at 9:30 a.m. at Liberty Park.

Also on April 25, more than 100 volunteers will plant flowers, shrubs, and trees at Liberty Park Stadium, at Bronson Way North and Houser Way North. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. Call 425-430-6600 to register.
