REMINDER: Lemonade stand to celebrate 10 cancer-free years and raise money for research is Sunday

Antonio Pebworth and his friends and family will host an "Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand" event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cascade Elementary School.

A Renton boy is hosting a special lemonade stand this weekend to celebrate his cancer being in remission for 10 years and to raise money for further childhood cancer research.

Antonio Pebworth and his friends and family will host an “Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand” event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cascade Elementary School.

Among the activities at the event: bounce houses, clowns, face painting, food, crafts and more.

The event, which will include various activities for children of all ages, and lots of lemonade, will commemorate Pebworth’s milestone 10th year in remission. Pebworth was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer when he was just 2 years old. With his survival chances at 25 percent, he would undergo eight rounds of chemotherapy, two surgeries, multiple rounds of radiation and oral treatments at home.

Pebworth overcame the odds, and has been in remission for 10 years his family is proud to say that today Antonio is full of energy, loves to play baseball, basketball, football and dance.

Cascade Elementary School is located at 16022 116th Ave. S.E.
