REMINDER: Grand opening and dedication of Meadow Crest Playground is 10 a.m. Saturday

The colorful, $2 million playground sits on land owned by both the Renton School District and the City and the playground is designed to be inclusive, or for all children, no matter their abilities or disabilities.

A special ceremony to open the Meadow Crest Playground in the Renton Highlands is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the site.

Scheduled to attend are Renton Mayor Denis Law, Superintendent Merri Rieger, Community Services Administrator Terri Higashiyama and former Renton School District Superintendent Mary Alice Heuschel.
