Primary: Seven candidates vie for Renton City Council Pos. 7 seat

Renton City Council Position No. 7 is the only seat on the council to appear on the Aug. 1 primary election ballot, as seven different candidates compete for a chance to make it on election ballots this November.

These are the voting results updated from the vote counts reported at 3:35 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2023.

With 13,321 votes counted, (22.45%) of registered voters:

The incumbent, Kim-Khanh Van, has 5,374 votes (42.43%)

Former Renton City Councilmember Randy Corman has 3098 votes (24.46%)

Nancy Sivitilli has 1,238 votes (9.77%)

Michael Westgaard has 1,199 votes (9.47%)

Steven Vargas has 960 votes (7.58%)

Camila Lagow has 568 votes (4.48%)

Sean Atchison has 164 votes (1.29%)
